My work, based around the title Space, is an investigation into interior living spaces, a place where we feel comfortable and secure. I wanted to change this by using close-up imagery of objects and fabrics in my home and therefore alienating myself from these everyday sights. I found by working this way it gave my work a highly sensual and sexualised feel that was increased as I increased the size of the print. I like this because it doesn’t only change my perceptions but makes other people question what are essentially everyday objects; they become highly fetishistic and beautiful. | |
